The Leningrad Championship was played for the second consecutive season. Dynamo Leningrad won both the men's and women's championships.

Moscow Championship

The Moscow Championship was contested for the 24th time in 1946. 122 teams were divided into four groups of play. Dynamo Moscow won the women's championship.
