This was the 1921-22 season in English ice hockey:

On November 11, 1921, it was reported that an ice hockey club had been formed at the Manchester Ice Palace. They were to play practice games once a week.[1] On November 30, 16 Oxford University players participated in a practice match in Manchester to prepare for upcoming games in Switzerland.[2]

On January 27, 1922, a group of Canadians from Oxford defeated a British Army team (also featuring Canadians) 4-3 in Manchester.[3]
