The 1940-41 OB I bajnokság season was the fifth season of the OB I bajnokság, the top level of ice hockey in Hungary. Teams first participated in regional groups. Three teams participated in the final round, and BBTE Budapest won the championship.

Northern Group

  • Kassai AC - Rákóczi SE 5:4 (1:1, 2:1, 2:2)[1]

Won by Kassai AC. Rákòczi SE was initially named champions, but KAC filed a protest against RSE and were declared the winner.[2]

Székelyföld Group

  • Marosvásárhelyi SE - Csíkszeredaí TE 5:0 (2:0, 1:0, 2:0)[3]
  • Marosvásárhelyi SE - Csíkszeredaí TE 1:1 (0:0, 0:1, 1:0)[3]

Kolozsvár Group

Won by Kolozsvári KE as the only team entered in the region.

Final round

The final round was played in Kolozsvár from February 10-12, 1941.
