The 1938-39 Airlie Trophy was won by the Dundee Tigers.

Results

  • 12/14: Perth Panthers - Fife Flyers 13:6 - first round
  • 12/28: Dundee Tigers - Glasgow Mohawks 8:6 - first round
  • 1/4: Dundee Tigers - Kelvingrove 6:5 - semifinal
  • 3/13: Perth Panthers - Falkirk Lions 3:3 (1:0, 2:2, 0:1, 0:0) OT, 5:0 Forfeit - semifinal

Falkirk withdrew from the competition on March 23, before the tied semifinal could be replayed, owing to a heavy playing schedule and the fact that there was no time to be replay the game. The presence of the Earl of Airlie for the final required that the final be played on March 29.
