The club in 1923.

Azul Hockey Club was one of the earliest hockey teams to be formed in Spain when the sport first caught on in the 1920s. The club was known to be active from 1923 to at least 1926.

Azul HC won the inaugural 1923 Spanish Championship. The players on that team were: Miguel Ángel Muguiro, Fernando Muguiro, Oscar de Elzaburu, Pedro Rivas, Edgar Neville, and J.Hollis.

Fernando Muguiro, Edgar Neville, and Pedro Rivas - all members of the Spanish National Team - were some of the more important members of the club.
