The Szabo-Jugend-Cup was donated by the Viennese General, Szabo, as a trophy for junior hockey teams in 1924.
It was a challenge trophy that had to be won twice in consecutive years or three times in all for a team to keep it permanently. SC Hakoah Wien earned the trophy for good after claiming it in 1930 and 1931.
The Jugend-Wanderpreis became the new junior cup competition for 1931-32.
