Playoffs
Teams ranked 4th through 7th met in a best-of-three elimination playoff, the winner of which would continue to the 2010 Elitserien qualifier ("Kvalserien"). This is the final season that this part of the tournament would be played as a playoff. The following seasons, teams ranked 4th through 7th instead competed in a double-round-robin format.
In the first round, Almtuna and Malmö each beat their opponents (Mora and Bofors) by a 2–0 margin in games. Almtuna then beat Malmö 2–1 in games in the second round, to continue to the Elitserien qualifier.
