The 2005-06 British Knockout Cup was the first edition of the single-elimination tournament contested by the Elite Ice Hockey League teams. It was won by the Sheffield Steelers.

Edinburgh Capitals - Belfast Giants 5:11 on aggregate (3:7, 2:4)
Basingstoke Bison - Cardiff Devils 5:7 on aggregate (1:3, 4:4)
Sheffield Steelers - Newcastle Vipers 4:4 on aggregate (3:2, 1:2, 2:1 SO)

Semifinals

Cardiff Devils - Sheffield Steelers 5:5 on aggregate (3:0, 2:5, 1:2 SO)
Belfast Giants - Coventry Blaze 7:9 on aggregate (3:4, 4:5)

Final

Sheffield Steelers - Coventry Blaze 1:1 on aggregate (0:0, 1:1, 2:0 SO)
