The 1954-55 Northern Tournament was won by the Wembley Terriers, who claimed the playoff championship for the B.I.H.A. Cup. The Falkirk Cubs won the regular season.

Each team traveled to Durham to play the hosts four times (except Dunfermline, who only played three fixtures), with the standings being decided on goal average.
