The 1952-53 Northern Tournament was contested by nine teams and won by the Durham Wasps. The Wasps also won the B.I.H.A. Amateur Cup (assumed to be the playoffs Northern Tournament playoffs).

The places were calculated by goal average. The Falkirk Cubs withdrew after the third round.
