The Kassel Huskies were a professional ice hockey team based in Kassel, Hesse, Germany. They played the majority of their seasons in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.
The club was founded as ESG Kassel in 1977 and was renamed into EC Kassel in 1987. Since 1994, the professional section of the club had been outsourced into a company with limited liability and belonged as Kassel Huskies to the founding members of the DEL.
It was announced 27 August 2010, that the club had folded from the DEL due to bankruptcy.[1]
