BK Mladá Boleslav
BK Mladá Boleslav is an ice hockey team in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic. They currently play in the Czech Extraliga, the top-level Czech league.
The club was founded around 1904, when they played their first official match, and was one of the founding members of the Bohemian Ice Hockey Federation in 1908. It has undergone numerous name changes throughout its history.
Mlada Boleslav played in the top-level Czechoslovak Extraliga from 1936 to 1938. After World War II, they took part exclusively in the lower-level Czechoslovak leagues.
After Czechoslovakia split in 1993, the club joined the third-level Czech 2.liga. They reached the second-level Czech 1.liga in 2002 and later qualified for the top-level Czech Extraliga for 2008-09.
They played in the Extraliga from 2008-09 to 2011-12, before being relegated back to the Czech 1.liga. Mlada Boleslav secured a return to the Extraliga for the 2014-15 season, after a two-year stint in the 1.liga.
