Kitchener beat Toronto Dentals 7 goals to 4.
Since the Toronto Dentals were the defending Allan Cup champions, and the Allan Cup was still a challenge trophy, Kitchener took over the Allan Cup with this win.
Kitchener then advanced to the 1917-18 Allan Cup playoffs.
