"In 1929, a new opponent arose for USC. The University of California at Berkley swept three games at the Yosemite tournament by an aggregate score of 14-4. Since UCLA had little practice time, the Trojans were in game shape to sweep four from the Bruins. USC’s final game of the season was a 9-5 loss to Union Oil Company."
