Upper Ottawa Valley League
The senior amateur Upper Ottawa Valley League played in the Upper (western) Ottawa River Valley of eastern Ontario, usually centered around the towns of Pembroke, Renfrew, and Arnprior.
This league started out in 1898-99 as the Ottawa Valley League, changing its name to the Upper Ottawa Valley League in 1902-03.
In 1912-13 and 1913-14 it was the Northern Division of the Interprovincial Hockey Union.
The league suspended play for the 1917-18 and 1918-19 seasons because of World War I. Also play was suspended in 1943-44 and 1944-45 for World War II.
Starting in 1919-20, this league played in the Ottawa District Hockey Association and was eligible for the Allan Cup.
The league played its last season in 1948-49 before its teams joined the Eastern Canada Senior Hockey League.
