1937-38 Croatian Championship
This was the 1937-38 Croatian Championship:
Championship
Weather permitting, there were plans to arrange a Sava Banovina Championship (the name of the Croatian province of Yugoslavia), with ZKD and Marathon from Zagreb, Slavija Sisak, KST Karlovac, and Slavija Varazdin participating.[1]
Games were supposed to get underway on January 16, but due to thaw, they did not. KST Karlovac announced their withdrawal from the championship on January 20. The winner of the Sava Banovina Championship was going to advance to meet SK Ilrija Ljubljana for the Yugoslav Championship. The author of the article said that the system of the regional and national championships needed to be reconsidered, as having the games spread out over several weeks made the competition difficult to complete, owing to unpredictable weather.[2] Sure enough, the Sava Banovina Championship was not able to be carried out in 1937-38.
