This was the 1902 ice hockey season in the Canadian Maritimes:

Competitions

Halifax City League

The Halifax Crescents were the winners of the Starr Trophy in 1902, losing a single game to the Wanderers. Dalhousie University also competed in the league this year.

  • 2/7: Halifax Crescents - Dartmouth Chebuctos 4:0 - played as exhibition as the teams, which were made professionals on account of playing with Twaddle of the RCR, had not been reinstated

  • 2/14: Dartmouth Chebuctos - Halifax Wanderers Forfeit - Wanderers refused to play as two of their players had been suspended for alleged professionalism; they later dropped out

The Saint John Mohawks won the league (as the only team entered).

King's College was beaten by both the Avonians and the Elgraves. Avonians won the Citizen's Trophy for the third year in a row, thus earning it permanently.
