The Estonian Championship was the national ice hockey competition in independent Estonia from 1934 to 1941.
History
Bandy championships had been contested in Estonia since 1916, though the first hockey competition was not organized until 1934. There championship was not completed in 1935, while a bandy competition was arranged, but thereafter ice hockey took the place of bandy, as it was the sole sport to compete for a championship from 1936-1940.
After World War II, Estonia was annexed into the USSR as the Estonian SSR. The Estonian SSR Championship then became the new competition within the republic's borders.
Tallinna Kalev and Tartu ASK won the most pre-war Estonian Championships, with two apiece.
