The Croatian Hockey League Season for 2008-2009 was the 18th such season. It was won by KHL Medveščak, making it the team's twelfth championship in the league.

- 12/8: Medvescak - Zagreb 6:2
- 12/10: Mladost - Zagreb 4:2
- 12/12: Medvescak - Mladost 4:3
- 12/14: Medvescak - Zagreb 6:5 OT
- 12/16: Zagreb - Mladost 5:3

The fourth club (INA Sisak) was supposed to play in a so-called "B" group with the reserve teams of Mladost and Zagreb. This wound up not materializing, and the club integrated into the championship, and invited the other clubs in February to its open-air ice rink. The final two scheduled matches were not played

Medvescak defeated Sisak in the semifinal series 2-0, in a best of three.

Mladost defeated Zagreb in the semifinal series 2-0, in a best of three.

Final
Medvescak beat Mladost 2-0, in a best of three series.
