They played one season in the GET-ligaen, 1998-99, as Stavanger-Viking. Viking Hockey's senior team went undefeated through the 3rd division in the 1998-1999 season and won the 2nd division in the 1999-2000 season, going on to play in the Norwegian First Division. The team colors were blue and they played home matches in Siddishallen. They shut down in 2014.
