The Women's Premier Ice Hockey League is the second-level of women's ice hockey in Great Britain, below the Women's Elite Ice Hockey League.

It is administered by the English Ice Hockey Association, which exists under the umbrella of Ice Hockey UK.

A second-level competition has been contested since 1990, and the Women's Division One Ice Hockey League league existed in a structured form starting in the 1996-97 season.

Division One was dropped to the third-tier competition for the 2015-16 season. The Elite League replaced the Premier League as the top-level league, while the latter became the new second-level competition.
