A game was played on February 7, 1890 at the Hillsborough Rink in Charlottetown. It was an intra-squad game made up of members of the Hillsborough Club and ended in an 8-8 tie. Another game was planned for February 28. The players were divided into east and west end sides. The Hillsborough Club also demonstrated the game in Summerside in 1890.
