College

The California Golden Bears, Santa Rosa Junior College Polar Cubs and USC Trojans all fielded ice hockey teams this winter. California and Santa Rosa competed in the Northern California Ice Hockey League, while USC played in the Southern California Hockey League. Santa Rosa's hockey team was disbanded by the college in early January after five players failed academically. USC played as a club team in 1941-42, hockey having been dropped as an official sport by the school.
