The Pirma Liga formerly served as the second level of ice hockey in Latvia. It is recorded to have been contested in 1999 and 2003, although the league may have also operated in other years as well.
In 1995-96, the second tier league was known as the Second Division. The top two finishers in the league qualified for the Latvian Hockey League's playoffs.
