The 1937 Erewhon Cup was won by the Mount Harper Club. Mount Harper received a challenge from the Windwhistle Winter Sports Club. Whindwhistle defeated Mount Harper 5-2 to gain possession of the cup.[1]

There was then a tournament played in Albury at Matthew Willis's "Opawa" property. Mount Harper, Tasman, Tekapo, Timaru, and Windwhistle participated in the competition.[2] Mount Harper won, regaining the Erewhon Cup.

There was another tournament (not for the Erewhon Cup) played on July 17, hosted by the Outrehua Winter Sports Club. Six teams participated in the competition, which was won by Oturehua A.[3]
