The 1972-73 Lithuanian SSR Championship was contested by eight teams and was won by Atletas Kaunas.

Note: Due to unfavorable weather conditions, the full schedule was not completed. The ranking of the top three teams had already been determined, but other places had not. That is reflected in the table listed below.
