The 1938-39 Coppa del Federale was staged in Italy in lieu of the Serie A during the 1938-39 season.
The league had been set to begin on January 1, 1939, but it was cancelled and the FISG organized the Coppa del Federale instead.
The cup rules stipulated that the first team to win it twice, but not consecutively, would earn it permanently. A best-of-three series was staged in 1939 between the two Milan clubs - AC Milanese DG and the newly-formed Diavoli Nerazzurri.
It was not contested again.
