HC Frýdek-Místek is an ice hockey team based in Frýdek-Místek, Czech Republic. It was founded in 1976 as a successor to multi-sports club TJ Válcovna Plechu.
History
They initially played in the lower-level Czechoslovak regional leagues, but qualified for the third-tier 2. Česká národní hokejová liga in 1989. Czechoslovakia split after the club had spent three seasons in the 2. CNHL, and they joined the new third-level competition, the Czech 2.liga, in 1993.
The club was relegated from the 2.liga following the 2003-04 season and spent the next five seasons toiling in the Czech Regional Championships, only returning to the 2.liga in 2009-10.
In 2015, the club entered in a partnership with HC Oceláři Třinec. In the 2015-16 season, the club managed to advance to the Czech 1.liga.
Their home rink is the Hala Polárka, which seats 2060 spectators.
