The 1928 German Ice Hockey Championship was the 12th season of the German Ice Hockey Championship, the national championship of Germany. Berliner Schlittschuhclub won the championship by defeating SC Riessersee in the final.
The German Championship was staged at Lake Riessersee in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on January 21st and 22nd, 1928.

Berliner SC and BFC Preussen qualified for the national championship.
Southwestern Championship
HC Stuttgart won the championship, run by the Sudwestdeutscher ESV. They qualified for the national championship.
Bavarian Championship
SC Riessersee and EV Füssen finished ahead of Münchener EV and qualified for the national championship. The two Nuremberg teams, after being entrusted the organization of the first round, which did not take place due to poor weather conditions and the forfeiture of MEV, were excluded from the competition after refusing to play in games scheduled at the last minute.
The final round featured three teams with EV Füssen and Münchener EV competing for the right to face SC Riessersee in the final. The two sides tied the first game, which had to be replayed. Füssen won the second meeting and advanced to face Riessersee.
