The Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia was a protectorate which Nazi Germany established in the central parts of Bohemia, Moravia and Czech Silesia in what is today the Czech Republic. The state existed from 1939 until the end of World War II in 1945.
History of hockey in Bohemia and Moravia
The Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia men's national ice hockey team played its first game in January 1940 against Germany during an exhibition game being held in Prague. The team won the game 5–1. They played in and won the 1940 International Week of Winter Sports.
After playing their last game on 7 February 1940 the team was succeeded by the reformed Czechoslovakia men's national ice hockey team.
The Bohemian-Moravian Hockey League existed for five seasons between 1939-40 and 1943-44. LTC Praha won it four times, and I. CLTK Praha won it once.
