The Midland Intermediate League was formed in the 1951/2 season and lasted for four years, with the Merseyside outfit competing in a four team competition with Grimsby Redwings, [[Blackpool Seagulls]] and the Nottingham Wolves. The Leopards won the inaugural title, which alongside their exploits in the C.W. Jones Cup and also winning the Blackpool Icedrome Trophy completed a magnificent "treble" in the 51/52 season, without doubt the city's most successful period in hockey.

The Liverpool Leopards were an ice hockey team in Liverpool, England. They were founded in 1948 and initially played home tournaments and challenge matches. The Liverpool Ice Rink served as their home arena.

The club played in the Midland Intermediate League from 1951 to 1955, the Southern League from 1973 to 1978, and the English League North from 1978 to 1982. They won the Midland League in 1952 and the English League North in 1980.

The Leopards also won the Liverpool Tournament in 1952 and 1955 and the Blackpool Icedrome Trophy in 1952.

History

Midland League Years...

The Midland Intermediate League was formed in the 1951/2 season and lasted for four years, with the Merseyside outfit competing in a four team competition with Grimsby Redwings, Blackpool Seagulls and the Nottingham Wolves.
