There was no league in the area until 1964-65, when the Grand Falls Central League debuted. The Grand Falls Senior Hockey League was a competition played in the town of Grand Falls, Newfoundland. The league existed from 1913 to 1960. It began the 1960-61 season with three teams (CLB, Guards, and St. Mike's), but folded on December 19, due to poor fan support. There was no league in the area until 1964-65, when the Grand Falls Central League debuted. Three teams competed in the inaugural season - Vocational School, Grand Falls, and Windsor - with the school team capturing the title.
