A meeting of the Halifax Royal Blue hockey club was held on January 13, 1888. The following officers were elected: Capt. A.S. Thompson (re-elected), Vice-capt. J.J. O'Bryan (re-elected), Sec'y R.B. Elliott. Managing committee: C.W. Kelly, John O'Bryan, and A.S. Smith, with the officers ex officio. At the Snow Shoe drive, scheduled for next Wednesday, a match was to be played between the association and the Snow Shoe club, teams to be captained by Thompson and O'Brien respectively.[1] It was postponed to January 21.
