This page features an overview of ice hockey in Scotland during World War II:
The Scottish National League was not contested between 1940-1946 and many of the players had gone off to war. There were some games played between Scottish teams, but the most common type of match featured a Canadian Army squad facing a "Scottish Select" side. Canadian teams also faced one another frequently.
