A tiebreaker final between the St. Paul Athletic Club and Canadian Soo, originally scheduled for March 5 and 8, was postponed and then cancelled due to heavy snowfall in the region. Therefore, the St. Paul Athletic Club shared the MacNaughton Cup (while keeping possession of it, as the 1917 champions) with the Canadian Soo.
