Rossland-Trail Industrial League

The league expanded its mandate to include teams from Northport, Washington, but none joined. All teams were from Rossland, save the Trail Smelters.

  • Rocky Mountain Rangers - Grocery Clerks 6:1
  • Centre-Star Mine - Trail Smelters 2:1 - semifinal
  • West Kootenay Power - Rocky Mountain Rangers 2:9 - Forfeit; Rangers used players who had played for other teams, which was against league rules - semifinal
  • Centre-Star Mine - West Kootenay Power 3:0 - final

Kootenay League

Rossland and Nelson played regularly scheduled matches as part of an informal Kootenay League.

The Vernon bank employees formed a team. They hoped to play against Coldstream Valley and Enderby. The Bankers of Enderby also formed a team, and the Armstrong Hockey Club was founded as well. The Kamloops Lumber Company created a team.

In Spokane, Washington, the Star Shingle Company opened an artificial ice rink at their plant on February 6, 1906. The rink has an ice surface of 200 by 88 feet. On February 7, the first hockey practice took place. The Spokane Amateur Athletic Club formed a team, and another club known as the Independents (who soon changed their name to the Eagles) was formed. Other possible teams were announced as being the Spokane High School, Blair Business College, and Gonzaga University, but none wound up playing.
