The 1902 English Club Championship was awarded to Cambridge University. It was the first and only time they won the title.[1]
On March 15, 1902, Cambridge defeated Princes Ice Hockey Club 9-5 to earn the Club Championship.[2] J.J. Cawthra scored seven goals for Cambridge. Some notable spectators at the Prince's Skating Club included the Countess of Limerick, the Duchess of Bedford, and Lord and Lady Archibald Campbell.[3]
Princes and Cambridge also played to a 9-9 draw on February 19.
