This is a list of early ice hockey games played in Canada between 1875 and 1882. The Montreal Winter Carnival organized the first ice hockey tournament in the country (and the world) in 1883.
All of the games were played in Quebec, which was undoubtedly the cradle of Canadian hockey in this era. The Ottawa Hockey Club was the first team to be formed outside of Quebec in 1883. They made their competitive debut at the 1884 Montreal Winter Carnival.
