Junior hockey in Switzerland consists of national leagues at the U20 and U17 age groups.
The Swiss Elite Junior League serves as the national under 20 competition in Switzerland. It is divided into two divisions, Elite A and Elite B, which promotion-and-relegation exists between. The Swiss U20 Regional Leagues, divided into Romande, Centrale, and Orientale divisions follow.
At the U17 (Novizen) level, the Swiss U17 Elite League operates as the top level league, with the Swiss U17 Regional Leagues coming after it. The classification was formerly U16 prior to the 2007-08 season.
At the U15 (Mini) and U13 (Moskito) levels, formerly U14 and U12, respectively, no national competition exists, with the championships being conducted solely on a regional basis.
