'''Aleksander Marek Kowalski''' (October 7, 1940 - ~April 3, 1940) was a [[Poland|Polish]] hockey player who was one of the top defensemen on the [[Polish National Team]] during the 1920s and early 1930s. He appeared with the team in seven major tournaments.

At the club level, Kowalski was a member of [[AZS Warszawa]] for the duration of his career. 

He was born in [[Warsaw]], [[Poland]] and was killed in the Katyn massacre.<ref name="Olympic0">http://www.eurolympic.org/jahia/Jahia/cache/offonce/pid/403;jsessionid=92EC25A72FD7705E2DBB45496CF46872?language=eng</ref> His family received the last postcard on February 11, 1940. His exact date of death is unknown, but he was on the list of the NKVD dated April 3, 1940.
