Tenis Club Roman Bucharest

Tenis Club Roman Bucharest was a sports club situated in Bucharest, Romania. The hockey section was officially created on December 10, 1926, although Hockey Club Roman Bucharest had played the 1924-25 season as TCR due to federation bylaws.

TCR entered two teams in the Romanian Championship in 1926-27, as did Hockey Club Roman Bucharest. HCR was victorious. They again lost to their Bucharest opposition the following two years, but gained many of the folding club's players in 1929.

They won their first national championship in 1929-30 with an easy 11-0 victory over Maccabi Cernauti, who had issued them a challenge. While in Cernauti, TCR also faced a local combination team, whom they defeated 6-0.

TCR won five championships in a row in all from 1930 to 1934. They defeated SC Miercurea Ciuc in the final in 1931 and triumphed over Dragos Voda Cernauti the following year.

A new Bucharest rival emerged with the formation of Telefon Club Bucharest in 1932. TCR defeated Telefon Club to win their final two championships in 1933 and 1934. They were knocked out of the Bucharest Championship by Telefon Club in 1934-35, ending their dominant stretch.

The club was dissolved after the season and was succeeded by HC Bragadiru Bucharest, who obtained many former TCR players.
