SønderjyskE Ishockey is an ice hockey team in Haderslev, Denmark. They currently have teams playing in both the top-level Metal Ligaen and the second-level Danish Division 1. The team plays home games in Vojens, a small town in the southernmost part of Jutland.

History

The hockey division of SønderjyskE Ishockey was founded by Jens Peder Hansen on January 5, 1963 under the name Vojens Ishockey Club as an independent team. Vojens IK was one of the top teams in Denmark during the late 1970s and early 1980s, winning three Danish Championships in four years from 1979-1982.

From 1997 to 2003, the club was known as the Vojens Lions. They then played as IK Sønderjylland during the 2003-04 season, before being taken over by the SønderjyskE Elitesport club. Their name was then changed to SønderjyskE Ishockey.

Since being incorporated into the SønderjyskE sports club, the team has enjoyed renewed success, having won five additional Danish Championships since 2006. They have also claimed the Danish Cup in 2010, 2011, and 2013.
