CSKA Sofia is an ice hockey team from Sofia, Bulgaria that currently plays in the Bulgarian Hockey League. They are a department of the CSKA Sofia sports club.

History

The club was founded as CDNV Sofia in 1948. They changed their name to their present one, CSKA Sofia, in 1965. The club has won thirteen Bulgarian Hockey League championships, second in the country, behind HC Levski Sofia.

The club dominated the Bulgarian League from 1964-1986, when they won a total of 13 championships. CSKA also won 12 Bulgarian Cup titles between 1964-1987. Their second place finish in 2009 was their best finish in 20 years.

CSKA finally won the Bulgarian championship again in 2013, finishing atop the final table. They repeated as national champions in 2014 and 2015.
